I've been out of the country for the past few weeks, so I'm not sure what has been around, but yesterday evening I saw 8 Purple Martins flying around above the yacht club at Sam Smith Park. They were definitely staying together like two or more family groups. I didn't have binoculars with me. It was the call that made me look up.
Also, while waiting around at the carpool lot at 401 & Hurontario today I saw a family of Savannah Sparrows and at least 2 Horned Larks. I have no idea if the larks breed there or if they were early migrants.
