Title: need help with a local (youngster?)
Post by: Khalli on July 30, 2015, 02:20:12 PM
This was taken over at Cootes Paradise. There were two of them flittering around from branch to branch and tree to tree.

Any idea about size? location? could it be a blue gray gnatcatcher?

Since the experts aren't chiming in, I'll take a stab at it!
Gray face/chest, yellowish belly and brown on the wings, I'm thinking Great crested Flycatcher.

I think you might be right. There's nothing to give a sense of scale, and the posture is uncharacteristic, but the rest seems to fit.
