Title: Juvenile Waxwing
Post by: Rotarran on October 21, 2015, 09:55:13 PM
I saw what looks like a youngish Waxwing at Downsview today.  It was in a group of about 10 birds which all seemed to be of a similar age.  Their calls were more reminiscent of the Bohemian trill rather than the Cedar lisp.  But that may vary in younger birds.

This is the best image I was able to obtain before they flew off.

Cedar Waxwing. The undertail is white, not rufous.
