Had a nice visit to Sam Smith today. Many Am. Goldfinches and a few white-throated sparrows. The best sighting was a Juvenile Lesser Black-Backed Gull. It was out on the water in the first bay, and later standing on the beach. A large raft of ducks flew in while we were watching it, consisting of Scaups, Redheads and a few Buffleheads. Also Red-necked and Horned Grebes. On our way out, we found a small Dekay's Brownsnake, recently deceased.
