Title: Possible immature Iceland Gull
Post by: jandb on November 10, 2015, 06:46:35 PM
Hello good people -

Studying a group of gulls and one bird with whitish primaries stood out.  Similar in size to the Herring Gulls around, possibly smaller.  I'm suspecting an immature Iceland Gull.  We're in Northern Ontario.  Bad weather made for lousy photos.  Any comments would be appreciated.  Thank you.

Yup. Glaucous would be bigger and stockier with a heavy bill with less black.
