Usually I can tell the difference between a Red and Grey squirrel, but this one has me in doubt. I think it is an Eastern Grey, but looking for confirmation and comments. Thanks in advance. Seen at Cranberry Marsh.

With that red colouration and black line on the sides it's definitely a Red Squirrel

Hey Reuven......good to hear from you. How was Algonquin this summer? Thanks for the comment, someone on flickr said it was definitely an Eastern Grey, which is what I thought. I first thought it was a Red Squirrel, I noticed that black mark, but where is the ear tufts? And, Eastern Grey usually have the mousy ears. Hmmmm.....

Not sure what you mean by ear tufts? Looks like a normal Red Squirrel to me.

On second thought....I think you are right.. Thanks Reuven!

Definately Red Squirrel, if you can remember the size will be alot smaller as well

I think the ear tufts are a Eurasian red squirrel thing.
