you could spot it from literally 1 km away. it looked like a shiny piece of scrap metal.

Beauty man! I've not seen nearly as many in my usual travels compared to the last couple winters. I may have to get out of my "zone"!

We don't see many pure white males down here in southern Ontario. I saw predictions that this would be a big invasion year, based on the number of early reports, but it doesn't appear to have turned out that way. I haven't been out much, but I know there have been two different birds seen at Colonel Samuel Smith Park this season, but neither one is reliable.
