Title: Mergansers on Credit River in Cheltenham
Post by: cabz on March 17, 2008, 12:00:03 PM
One of the signs of spring for me!!!!!!!!!  Also saw my first robin.  In a wood I walk thru, a pileated woodpecker has been very active on one tree.  Have seen or heard the bird over the last few days.

Had a flock of about 8 goldeneyes both males and females floating on the river yesterday.  The males were beautiful, gleaming in the sun with their irediscent (cannot spell!!!!!!) green heads and brilliant white sides.
