Title: Dark Eyed Junco Male Female?

Not sure if there is even a way to tell the difference?  Thanks all :)

looks like a female to me. The males have a darker slate gray colour with few of the warmer brown tones.  (at least this is true of the "slate-coloured" subspecies typically found here in Toronto.

Males tend to be darker, but it is hard to tell for sure, and this bird seems very intermediate.
