For the third consecutive year this enormous Cooper's Hawk has come to winter in Carleton Park in Brampton. She is easily the largest Cooper's Hawk I have ever seen. As she has grown into her adult plumage I still recognize her by her facial structure and her behavior. She has little fear of humans and shows zero interest in prey smaller than a dove. She also likes to sleep and will perch lethargically for more than an hour indifferent to human traffic. Taken this morning January 17, 2016.
