Title: Eastern Towhee in backyard
Post by: nkwali on April 15, 2016, 08:12:49 AM
Throughout the winter and spring my bird feeder has been supplying the local cardinals, house finches, chickadees, occasional nuthatches and downies and the hordes of house sparrows. Juncos also come through fairly regularly.
However today - an Eastern Towhee came through along with a couple of American Goldfinches.  The towhee is a sign of spring that I haven't seen in this part of the city before.

Nice!  I've been hoping to spot a Towhee myself.  Did you get a picture??
