i've been hearing that, since the storm last week, there have been few hummer sightings.
i'm out of town, so i have no idea what's happening at our plants and feeders.

The Orchard Oriole is still around but the Hummer just migrated thru. No sign of our resident Hummers.

So I'm not the only one still waiting for resident hummers. My first sighting was May 7 and I've seen 4 more visitors since then but nothing since last Saturday (May 14). April WAS cool but there have been lots of recent Ontario sightings so I guess we just wait and hope! What's doing by you Meghan? :)

As for orioles, nothing here but Earl Bales and Ross Lord parks are full of them!

I had a male hummer at my feeder on Friday afternoon here in the south of Scarborough.  It returned 4-5 times while I was sitting in the yard.

Good birding,
Walter :)

Hey Howie,

1 male and 2 females are pretty regular now. The male, like every year, likes to come first thing in the morning and last thing at night when it is so dark you can barely see him.

i've been out of town for over 2 weeks, so i have no clue if i have visitors. but this year, my yard's so hummingbird friendly, i'm kind of surprised to not have actively seen one yesterday.
i have a feeder (in the middle of my yard).
my wild columbine's taken off and flowering nicely.
we have a fuscia plant hanging.
and, in the front yard, we have 2 other hummingbird-friendly plants that are sort of flowering.

so hopefully we have one and i haven't been around to see it

One, possibly two males making frequent visits and as of noon today a female has been hanging around. Lots of fun, didn't realize how much I missed them, sigh! :)

I can finally confirm that one of our resident Hummers has returned. We have seen a female at the feeder in each of the last four days.
