Title: Brampton Report
Post by: BillSimpson on May 17, 2016, 04:54:26 PM
This has been the best spring for several years in my neck of the woods (Dixie/Williams Parkway in Brampton). My little ravine has been alive with birds for the last two weeks, with many new (for here) sightings.

Seen so far includes:

Black-throated green warbler
Blackburnian
Yellow rumped
Amercan retstarts
Yellow
Black and White
Chestnut sided
Ovenbird
Black throated blue
Palm
Pine
Magnolia
Nashville

Also had a pair of Scarlet Tanagers for a day or two, Baltimore Orioles.

Four catbirds are burbling and squeaking away, and there are a number of other songs that I can't place.

Long may they all stay but I think they will be gone when the wind goes round...
