Title: Black Bear at Carden
Post by: Dinusaur on June 12, 2016, 09:01:54 PM
I went to Carden Alvar early in the morning. Cooler temperature and high winds kept the birds low and hidden. I met up with Steve (see his post on Blanding's Turtle) north of the Sedge Wren marsh on Wylie road. He mentioned of a possible Blue-winged warbler nest further north in the area with open fields on both sides of the road. I couldn't find the Blue-winged Warbler; however, on my way back I saw this Black Bear at the edge of the open filed on the west of Wylie road. Somewhat of a nice surprise.
