Title: Is this a Song Sparrow?
Post by: pong on August 09, 2016, 10:58:34 AM
Hello there,

You have so many species of sparrows in Canada. And some of them look similar although I have bought a field guide and tried to ID it but to no avail.

My guess is it is a Song Sparrow.

Yes, you are right. I didn't think about flipping through the Blackbird section at all.

Thank you very much!

Yes, it is.

At first, I just paid attention to the bill. Moreover, I didn't realize the Red-winged Blackbird is sexual dimorphic.

Thank you for your kindness.
