Title: Seen in Newfoundland

This bird had white streaks on the outside of its tail in flight.

The outer tail feathers flashing white in flight are a giveaway, Dark-eyed Junco. Juvenile in this case.

#1 I think is a Lincoln's Sparrow.

both look fine for Juv. junco's...they are quite streaked

I guess you are right, I don't have experience with juvenile Juncos.
