Saw this interesting sparrow at Downsview and it's tripping me up a bit. At first I thought female House Sparrow but the bill seems too small for that and the back and head too streaked. Then I thought maybe juv. White-crowned Sparrow but those are usually more bold than this bird. At this point my best guess is some sort of juv. Chipping Sparrow.

I think you're right with Chipping Sparrow, but an adult molting into winter plumage.
