Post by: Darrell74 on April 02, 2008, 09:08:57 PM
Was in Humber Bay East Park today (Lakeshore & Park Lawn).

- Saw 1 Male American Coot
- Mating pair of Hooded Merganser
- Gadwals (males & females).
- Buffleheads (males & females)
- Mating pair of American Blackducks.
- 6 Double-crested Cormorants flying overhead
- 2 Male Killdeer
- 1 Male Dark-eyed Junco
- 1 Male Chickadee (did you know that they can hover??? I didn't hehe)

Need to take a notebook along with me now... so many species in one spot...

All in all, a GREAT day of birding :)

The Killdeer landed about 50ft in front of me, on the open ground that lies between the still partially frozen pond and the waterway where the boat launches are.
