Title: Is this a loon?

We saw this bird on a lake in northern Bruce Peninsula in September. Can someone identify it for us? Thank you

Yes, it is a Common Loon.

Thank you very much! We just googled and now know they change colour in September when they're non-breeding. We had no idea! Good to know  :D
