This has been in the news recently...

To celebrate Canada's 150th birthday in 2017, Parks Canada is issuing free passes which will allow you unlimited opportunities to enjoy National Parks, National Marine Conservation Areas and National Historic Sites across the country for the entire year!

The website has been experiencing some heavy traffic at times, so if you can't apply, keep trying as there is no time limit.
