Title: Northern Shrike

Sunday Jan 8, 2017  8:30am, during the Rouge National Urban Park - Winter Bird count.  On the VISTA trail south of the observation platform a Northern shrike seen hovering  and then perching on top of medium si‎ze bushes. At an opening on the Vista trail, just south of the viewing platform.

Nice find.  I was involved with the Rouge Park count North of Steeles but we didn't find anything unusual.
