Nice shots! The Pipit has been sulking in tall grass every time I see him. He looks like he's having a tough enough time without me trying to chase him into the open.

Thanks Brian.  The American Pipit in the open was pure luck.  I was walking the path going east, just past Whimbrel Point scanning for the Eared Grebe, when I noticed this bird coming in over the water from the east.  It landed on the rocks and posed for a few shots, then flew off into the long grass on the Whimbrel Point hill.

Very nice set. I managed to drop by there this afternoon and got some close up photos of the Grebe. First time I saw an Eared grebe was back in November in the park and the bird was far into the lake. Not sure if it is the same one.
