Title: Great Gray Owl in early morning light

Taken this morning around 7am before heading over to work. Nice way to start the day.

this one may have been killed today (PResquille?). hit by a car from baiting (in no way am i linking you to baiting. just an FYI)

This one is in Kingston. Been in area for a couple of months. Should be heading back north soon as March approaches.

NP at all, how do you know if it was baited? That seems unusual for someone to do that along a public road?

all second-hand info.
was told it was incredibly well fed. it died by being hit by a car. and it was apparently a known owl, so you put 2 and 2 together, i guess.

Thats very sad for sure. The problem is they get so used to people when their baited that they will come up to them over time. Happens alot on these so called "Owling Photography Workshops" quite often.

we already established that these are 2 different GGO.
the one in Presquille is definitely dead. i saw the photos.
