Title: G. Ross Lord Dam April 5, Nesting Cormorants
Post by: Leslie Kinrys on April 05, 2017, 04:42:26 PM
I walked down to the dam, crossed over it and walked the paths nearby. There were 14 cormorants in the reservoir area. I saw two nests, with birds sitting in them. They were located on one of the hydro towers, which sit in the reservoir.

Other interesting birds: Song Sparrow 3, Brown-headed Cowbird 3, Kildeer 2, Common Grackle 1, N. Mockingbird 1.

The dam is located at Finch and Dufferin. There is parking off Dufferin. There are walking/bike paths throughout the dam area.
