Title: Willow Ptarmigan - Tommy Thompson Park, Toronto
Post by: Walter Fisher on May 14, 2017, 11:41:52 AM
Great to see this mega rare visitor from the far north yesterday at the Spit.  Well worth the 10km walk!  An amazing find by Noam Markus!

Check out the feather covered feet and legs!

I have seen Willow Ptarmigan in Yukon, but when I heard yesterday of one in Toronto I thought someone had been drinking their bath water. What a find!

Lovely set of photos Walter. I managed to get there on time to see it - what a privilege.
