After the day I have had thought a quick reminder to check for ticks after birding adventures. I spent an hour at Windermere Basin this morning on a windy warm walk. Saw some good birds, nothing extraordinary but did pick up some unwanted hitchhikers. By the end of the day I had found 7 ticks, luckily none attached. Must take more care next time, they say its a bad year for them.
