Title: Yellow capped black bird
Post by: Porshaah on May 25, 2017, 12:33:14 PM
Hi all

Need help identifying a yellow capped (i.e. yellow cap looks more like a bulging crown) black bird (i.e. about the same size and shape of a Baltimore Oriole)  I spotted a few days ago, out in the open country fields. If I remember correctly, when in flight a white back and/or tail feather tips  were exposed or maybe the under side. Most likely the former - sorry minds eye is fading. The dominate feature is the yellow bulge.  I viewed with binoculars from a distance and judging from its' beak movement, appeared to be quite chatty.

TIA
