This morning 2 pair of wood ducks were back cavorting in the lower Duck Ponds of High Park... still some ice but they were looking for love in all the right places.

Nicely said, David. I can't wait to pop down this weekend and see if I can spot the "love birds".

Hi All,
I was at High Park tonight around 6:30 PM and spotted one of the male Wood Ducks. He was on the west side of Grenedier Pond about halfway up the total length of the pond. Beautiful looking duck for sure.
Happy Birding!

saw 4 (2 male, 2 female) wood ducks this afternoon at the small pond by the jamie bell adventure playground...they were happily eating saltine crackers fed to them by a little boy.
this is the first time i have ever seen them eat people food!
not necessarily a good thing, but it helped me get some nice shots...
