I saw a Great Egret, a North American Mink, a Northern Water Snake, and a Common Snapping Turtle while walking along the Etobicoke Creek today.

Wow, sounds great!

Northern Water Snakes and North American Minks are a common sight along the Etobicoke Creek and both are indicators of a fairly healthy ecosystem. Great Egrets are rare in the Etobicoke Creek and Common Snapping Turtles are common along the Etobicoke Creek, but are hard to spot. The Common Snapping Turtle I saw was fairly small, but not a baby, indicating that there is breeding going on in the area.
