Title: Yet another fall warbler id requested
Post by: nkwali on September 11, 2017, 01:03:54 PM
I'm stumped on this one...any help would be greatly appreciated - in particular since my efforts in id'ing led me to conclude it was a bird that doesn't find it's way here. Seen at Ashbridges Bay.

I had thought that initially - but there's a lot more yellow on the belly than I had thought for a Yellowthroat.

Yes - the yellow down the belly and the white eye arcs indicate that this is a Mourning Warbler. I think most of these are passed off as yellowthroats in the fall.
