That birdbath of yours draws more entertainment to its stage than Massey Hall.
The contrast of scale between the Goldfinch and the Robin is very effective.
The Swainson's opposite the Veery tells a story .... the Veery, dressed casually, forgot it was a formal affair requiring spots.
The cardinal and grosbeak are looking away because they're not talking after an earlier disagreement.
I know, I'm being to whimsical .... somebody STOP ME!

Yes whimsical is the word for it!
-
Thank you very much. A little whimsy is a good thing. See my next post.

Spectators! Hahaha
-
You may laugh but here they are watching an earlier Mallard event

The cheap seats.

Fun stuff - please keep them coming. This site has come alive. This is the site I started my birding journey with and over the years I learnt so much.
-
Nice pairings, I think your Thrush could be a Gray-cheeked, as it's lacking the warm brown colours and bold, buffy eye-ring of Swainson's Thrush.

Thank you. It probably helps to have read "The Wind in the Willows" all these years to my grandchildren! Thanks also for the Thrush correction. I've been seeing Swainsons for too long. Just about completes my Thrush Hour though (next post).
