The second White-crowned Sparrow should be labelled immature (adult males and females look the same)

Wow, those owl shots are fantastic - never seen a Boreal owl, gorgeous animal.

Its no Owl, but Female Cardinals have always given me less good photo ops than the boys. This was an exception.

They are both adult Ring-billed Gulls starting to get some winter plumage (the spotting on the head).
