Pair of House Finches in backyard - Scarborough
Shortsighted

I had two pairs came to my feeder yesterday. What a busy afternoon. Two red breasted nuthatch, one white; one blue jay, one pair of Northern Cardinals, and two young red-winged black birds, about ten sparrows and towards evening, a lonely mourning dove came for supper. There were lots of robins and a couple of waxwing in the neighborhood as well. How exciting!

You win that hand.
A full house certainly beats a measly pair.
I don't want to play any more.
-
Awww, but I don't have a camera, and worse yet, I don't know how to take photos. So, there, you win :D

Both of those wrinkles can be ironed-out.
I'm sure that given even entry-level camera and cheap lens your enthusiasm
will compensate for lack of experience. And if not, we all lose.

Thanks for the encouragement! I saw your replies for camera suggestions. I am very tempted to give myself a Christmas gift(Big one, around 800 CAD, I won't buy new shoes for another year). Which set would you recommend?
Thank you so much. I love your postings!

I'll post a reply under the Equipment / Gear heading.

Hi, moments like this, I really wish I have a good camera. I just put some sunflower seeds out, and within three minutes, a blue jay came to check it out, two female house finches turned up in the tree nearby. I saw a downy, and A MOCKINGBIRD! I never saw one in my neighborhood. Happy Saturday!

I have not seen a Mockingbird since last December and that one was belligerent. I'm quite certain that the one you saw was merely
mocking you. Good luck keeping your seed from squirrels. You can't compete with squirrels, they rule their
domain.

There were two, and please don't egg me because the horrible photos.
