Western Gull and Pelagic Crab (Pelagic Crabs are usually found south of San Diego, but in warmer years or when there is an el Nino, they can come north into California)

Wow, what a collection. Except for the Whimbrel the rest would be life birds for me.

Thanks all - the beaches in Monterey were quiet in April (wrt to birds) and busier in October. Not sure if that was due to migration or just my luck those times.
