Terrific shot. I love the strata of colour, which gratifies the geologist in me.
What is the background ... just trees, or distant hills?
Better yet if the Snowy was positioned just a little to one side of photo's vertical mid-line
it would relax the viewer's gaze a bit more. Then again, the
heavy snowfall is so intrusive that the tension created by a centered
owl just adds to the assault of the snowfall. Riveting either way.
