Please note that the forthcoming series of photographic snippets, obtained as before
by tightly cropping photographs that I've taken, have now also been processed
with an Art-Filter to simulate a rendering.
This added wrinkle may or may not make bird identification more onerous.
Considering that the hallmarks of ID are really a matter of shape, pattern and
colour and to some extent circumstance I don't actually believe this Art-House
approach will deter anyone for long, if at all.

Sierra is a she, but SHE is not a whimbrel.
Shorter legs and the bill, well that would be way different.
-
A girl sandpiper?
-
Is Sierra a Mottled Duck? Or a Green-winged Teal female
-
Yes, Sierra is a duck, not a sandpiper.
It is NOT a Mottled duck, but it does appear ... mottled.
-
Bird Whiskey: Brown creeper.
Is Sierra a mallard?
X-ray a pine warbler
Bird Zulu: A common yellow throat?
-
Bird WHISKEY is a Brown Creeper
Sierra is NOT a Mallard
Bird X-RAY is NOT a Pine warbler
Bird ZULU is NOT a Common Yellowthroat ... which always has a yellow throat
whether male or female, whether adult of juvenile. If I'm wrong about that
someone will likely not let me get away with that statement.
-
Zulu - Ruby-crowned Kinglet?
-
Siera - Northern Pintail (Female)?
Victor- Northern Waterthrush?
Yankee - Philadelphia Vireo?
-
Bird SIERRA is not a female Northern Pintail.
Bird Victor is a Northern Waterthrush - CORRECT, photo rendering in photo section
I don't believe that Bird Yankee is a Philadelphia Vireo.
-
Bird ZULU is not a Kinglet
-
Bird X-ray: female blackpoll;
Bird Zulu: least flycatcher.
If I'm wrong again, that's fine. Three correct guesses will last me a long time. :P :P
-
Sierra - Blue-winged Teal
-
Sorry people, the three latest guesses are not correct.
X-ray is NOT a Blackpoll warbler ... those wing bars are not white
Zulu is NOT a flycatcher ..... try a warbler
Sierra is NOT a Blue-winged Teal ... not many ducks left that could visit the GTA
where I am pretty much confined to.
-
SIERRA - Northern Shoveler
ZULU - Orange-crowned Warbler
-
A correct response from thouc for mystery bird SIERRA.
Female NORTHERN SHOVELER
Full photo-rendering of Sierra in the photography section.
Zulu is NOT an Orange-crowned warbler ... it is not nearly as uncommon.
-
One last guess for Zulu: Female American redstart?
-
Outstanding Ally.
What seems to have confounded everyone else has been dragged into
the light of day as a female American Redstart

-
Is Yankee a Tuffed Titmouse?
-
I think bird x-ray is a young female chestnut sided.
-
Yup, you are quite correct, X-ray is a juvenile Chestnut-sided warbler

-
How about Yankee, was I right or wrong? :D :D
-
Sorry, didn't see your reply for Yankee.
No, it is not a tufted titmouse.
Not a big bird but bigger than a titmouse
and very common.
-
Is Yankee a chickadee?
-
Yankee - Red-eyed Vireo?
-
OK, that's close enough.
It is another Warbling Vireo, but this one is from the other side
of the tracks and was photographed in the late-summer to fall.
