Clue #1: It is a common bird
Clue#2: It is a summer bird
Clue#3: As seen, it is an ephemeral bird

I will get my David Bird's Birds of Canada this afternoon so more to study. But I will take my best guess at this bird: House wren, maybe just out of a mud shower? :lol:

No one has gotten it so far. It is a common summer bird
but at a stage when it is seldom seen. You correctly guessed
sparrow, but not a Song sparrow. What is the other MOST common
summer sparrow and when would it be atypical in appearance?
