I encountered an owl and a raven sitting on a gravel road near Grand Valley today. I didn't see the owl assuming it was just a clump of snow. The raven flushed first then the clump of snow came to life and flew into an adjacent field. I sat for about 25 minutes watching the raven harassing the owl. The raven dive-bombed the owl from above and from each side. The raven eventually landed beside the owl and tried to peck it. The owl took a swipe at the raven and the raven got the message and departed. I like the way the owl looked at me as if to say "Can't you get rid of this clown?".

I wish I get to see something like this. I also like when us birders trying to put words in birds. :P :P
