Today, I was walking along the Finch Recreational Corridor into G. Ross Lord Park. I saw six, male Red-winged Blackbirds. They were calling konkree and flaring their shoulder patches. Also, I had two singing Cardinals. I hope this means an early Spring!

Walking Riverwood in Mississauga this morning sounded like full on spring. In addition to Red-wings and Cardinals we had singing Carolina Wren, White-breasted Nuthatches, Chickadees and an early Northern Flicker. A welcome change indeed.
