Hello, I'm Ally, and I'm trying to reach out to the fellow birders (Me myself a second year female birder  ). I'm putting together a list of conservation Reserves and parks in GTA or two hours drive from GTA for weekends in 2018. I wonder whether anybody would like to do the same. Please send me a message.

Ally, not sure if you are aware of OFO field trips that are organized regularly - that's a great way to meet a lot of like-minded people. These trips are usually guided by the experts in the field; so you get to learn about birds and meet people. I have done a few of these myself and thoroughly enjoyed them. Here's the link : http://www.ofo.ca/. Here's also a link to hotspots around Toronto area - most are within 2 hour driving reach, check it out: https://ebird.org/subnational2/CA-ON-TO/hotspots

Thank you so much. I do join some of the bird walks. I just would like to cover a little more spots this year. I get lost a lot, and after my trip to Algonquin this past Sunday, I realized some hikes can be a bit dangerous. That's why I would like to find a buddy.

Also the TOC has local bird outings, and a pretty comprehensive list of birding sites on its web site.http://www.torontobirding.ca/site/page/view/hotspots.hotspots
