Nice photos.  I particularly like seeing both phases of the Horned Grebe.  Ran into a new birder who thought a bird looking like your top one was an Eared Grebe (because it didn't look like your bottom one that she had just seen) and I had to explain that when Horned grebes are transitioning to breeding plumage they can look like Eared. Hated to burst her bubble but I made the same mistake when I started. Nice comparison.

Saw a pair or those Nuthatches last week, only 16hrs drive south of here.
