Title: Ashbridges update 2
Post by: Shortsighted on May 14, 2018, 06:31:57 PM
Was hoping to see Bay-breasted, Blackburnian and Cape May. Didn't see ANY of these.
Did see: Yellow, Palm, B&W, BT Blue (male and female), BT Green (male), Common Yellowthroat (male),
Magnolia, Wilson's, Am. Redstart, BG Gnatcatcher, N. Waterthrush, RC Kinglet, Canada warbler, Tennessee,
Chestnut-sided, Swainson's thrush, Willow FC, Great crested FC, possible Least FC, Catbird, B. Oriole, groups
of Goldfinch, and Cedar Waxwing. Didn't get out early enough.

That's an impressive list. I was there on Sunday morning and it was all very quiet.

I was in the Rouge for a brief spell both on Saturday and then again on Sunday.
Beautiful weather but no birds, or hardly any. One Kingfisher, two Yellow warblers,
two Kingbirds and a Song Sparrow.  Big deal! I asked myself if there was really a
mass migration in play. What a difference a day makes, as well as a different venue.
