A Red-Headed Woodpecker was working on the dead pine tree in my yard today..... 8)
Wow.... what a spectacular bird..... a lifer for me.... :)
The bright white contrasting back and wings confirmed who it was as it flew to another tree.
Between Glen Williams and Terra Cotta ....... (Winston Churchill Blvd. & Old School Rd.)

You are indeed lucky to see this beauty at your backyard. Such a gorgeous bird. During my four years of bird watching I have only seen it once, at Ashbridges Bay Park.
