Title: Pine & Y-R Warblers at Sam Smith Park This Morning
Post by: Brian Bailey on April 20, 2008, 03:11:06 PM
I did a bit of birding in Sam Smith Park this morning.  It was a bit quieter than I had hoped, but there were some good birds.

New arrivals included:
Chimney Swift
Pine Warbler
Yellow-rumped Warbler
Chipping Sparrow

There are still lots of Red-necked Grebes, and a few Horned Grebes.  I saw a few Common Loons out on the lake and a few more flying overhead.  In general, waterfowl were pretty scarce.  There were lots of RC Kinglets, WT Sparrows, and a few Hermit Thrushes in the wooded areas.
