Title: Great Kiskadee, Rondeau PP
Post by: lovemypt on September 15, 2018, 09:45:44 AM
I don't openly post alot of pictures .....and I am sure most of the members are aware of this bird which has been found at Rondeau Provincial Park, but on the odd chance that some of the old farts like me don't hang around alot on Facebook and chat rooms....

As of this morning , the bird is still being seen daily and seems to be feeding quite well on frogs, minnows and dragonflies.  Not always seen constantly, may take a while to see,  but worth the drive

Wow, it has to be big to be able to catch a frog then. Great coloring,  the creamy yellow almost like that of the great crested flycatcher.

thanks John......really depends upon timing, my earlier shots are probably more like yours when it was hunting in the main bay area, this shot was from the ponds where the turtles are by the cottages

Gorgeous image. I saw one in Mexico two years ago and thus restrained myself from driving 3 hours to the park. It seems to have disappeared as of Sunday, Sept 16,
