Last week a friend at work said to me he had an unusual looking bird in his back yard on Powell rd, Downsview.
"edit" He is not a birder so he asked me I could figure out what it was" edit"
After about 10 minutes of discussion I sent him a link to this link https://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Ame ... n/overview (https://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/American_Bittern/overview)
Don't know why it settled in his back yard :?: .. but it did..He sent me an image last week confirming the Id.
I'll try to post it here Monday. Not my photo , can I just link into a thread? I usually use FLKR and a web link etc.

Wow! Can't imagine finding such a great bird in my own yard. I'm not sure what type of "thread" you want to link to, but you can easily upload the actual photo if you have it. I haven't done it for awhile myself, but try this:
-Click on the "Upload attachment" tab that you see below.
-Select "Choose file"; try not to use over-sized files since they won't fit very well without making readers have to scroll around the image.
-Click "Add the file"
-Click "Place in line"
-Click "Preview" and you should now see your image!
Hope this works for you. -Kris
