Hi everyone. This afternoon at Riverwood, after 25 years of birding, finally saw my Nemesis Bird, Red-bellied Woodpecker! (adult female) :D
A young girl was with her dad and she was trying hand feeding wild birds for the first time. She ended up with a White-breasted Nuthatch which returned over and over for food. Wow, what a fantastic bird to start with! 8)
Lots of birds today including dozens of Blue Jays ... walk along the Red Trail to see these.
Wildlife - lots of Chipmunks and squirrels including my favourite Red Squirrels - they are so cute, noisy and full of attitude. Ha Ha!

Nice congrats! Funny enough the RBW is one of those birds that seems to follow me wherever I go. What's the opposite of nemesis bird lol
My "nemesis" bird is the Red Cross-bill. Been up to Algonquin several times for this bird including one winter they were seen virtually every day in good numbers. But somehow I missed them lol
Oh well one day hopefully.
