Title: A Few Recent Ones
Post by: Dinusaur on November 04, 2018, 05:47:50 PM
I drove to LaSalle Park in Burlington on Saturday (Nov 4) afternoon and managed to get a few decent shots of the Black-throated Gray warbler that has been around that place since Nov 4. In addition a Nelson's Sparrow and FOY Snowy from Colonel Sam Smith Park taken on Oct 25. The Northern Harrier is from Downsview Park, Oct 17.

CSS seems to be a real hot-spot lately. Nothing much out here in the east-end.
Where does the Nelson's sparrow hang out? I might try to get out there this week
and don't have enough time to look in the wrong place.
Wonderful captures!

Dunno about that. I was there this morning, didn't see anything special. I might have run out of my beginner's luck :D

I believe Nelson's hasn't been seen for couple of days now - two LeConte's Sparrow showed up there as well. Not sure if you do eBirding - check this link out and it will give you some idea of what's recently seen in the park.

Thanks John. Yes, it was hard to get him out in the open - with all those leaves around it is hard to take a decent shot. By the way, despite my second attempt on Friday, I still ended up missing the Western Tanager.
