Title: Trumpeter Swan, Tommy Thompson Park
Post by: Ed O'Connor on November 12, 2018, 06:03:16 PM
I had a slow day on the Spit on Saturday, maybe because of the gale-force winds that seemed to blow all the birds away. At one point, I found several of the resident Trumpeter Swans sleeping in one of the more sheltered coves of Bay D. It was such a peaceful and idyllic scene that I decided to take a few snaps. This photo is of an immature swan, still showing some color contrast between the neck and the body proper.
