My husband and I live on the Credit river in Caledon. Across the river from us is a forest, where for years there have been GHOs. We often hear them hooting, especially in the fall, winter. We have been hearing them calling for about a month in the early morning. Last week one day I had just got up and was putting the kettle on when I heard one that sounded like he was right in the house!!!! I even thought my husband had hooted!!!! Went out on to the river lawn and there it was on the dead popular on our property. What a thrill to actually see one. It only stayed a few minutes and then was gone!!!!!
